Singapore National Day 2012
It’s Singapore’s 47th National Day on 9th August so as tradition, I’m doing national day nails today!
I did 2 last year which in my opinion was not that good, but managed to get many likes for it, so I’m hoping that this year’s would be better.
Red & White are Singapore’s colours so I painted my nails with my favourite Red polish - OPI Red My Fortune Cookie and stamped the design from Bundle monster plate BM-301 with Konad special white polish.
I also dug out the stars from Kleancolor Blind Date and dotted them onto my nails as I already had a few layers of topcoat in between each coats and I didnt want my manicure to become too thick.
I think my national day nails this year is pretty cute, hopefully it’s much better than last year’s.. haha.. Happy National Day Singapore!

Today I have Sonoma Nail Art’s ‘My Three Glitters’ over OPI ‘Come To Poppy’!
‘My Three Glitters’ is an indie polish created by Sonoma Nail Art - which consist of black and white glitters in all shapes and sizes! There’s big and small hex glitters, bar glitters, square glitters and even parallelogram glitters! LOL
Seriously loving the contrast of this polish over ‘Come To Poppy’!

I also tried layering OPI ‘I’m All Ears’ over the combo for a jelly sandwich. I do like the effect of the fuchsia shimmers, but the white glitters seems to have disappeared under the jelly. :(
So what do you think? Jelly yay or nay?

Monochrome Monday!
Yay! I am super hardworking this week! 2 posts in a row! Today we have another group challenge and it’s Monochrome Monday!
For today’s post, I did black and white nautical nails using OPI Alpine Snow as base, and added black strips using stripping tapes and Wet n Wild Black Creme. This is my first time using Wet n Wild’s Black and it’s great! It’s even thick enough to stamp, although the stamped image is as opaque as Konad’s special Black polish.
For my accent nail, I stamped the anchor image from Bundle monster plate BM-08 using Konad special Black polish.
It took a lot of time and patience for me to complete this set of manicure but I’m really pleased with the results! I think I’m getting the hang of tape mani already! Slow and steady is the key~~ :)

Happy Monday to you!

Flowers (Day 14)
I’m going to do a quick one today cos I’m really tired. The polish that I used for my base colour is Lavenbaby from Kleancolor. To me, Lavenbaby IRL is actually about half a shade darker than the colour in the bottle. Application wise it is okay, Lavenbaby is slightly on the thicker side like most creme polishes - first coat is streaky, but a second coat will smooth it out easily. Overall it’s still relatively easy enough to manage.
The flowers for this manicure is also quite easy to do! What I did was to overlap a drop of pink polish and a drop of white polish (Come To Poppy + Alpine Snow) swirl them lightly on a piece of paper, next use a dotting tool to dot 5 circles closely together to form the petals. Nice & elegant, and simple enough to do!

Kleancolor Lavenbaby
OPI Alpine Snow

Stripes Nails (Day 12)
The theme for today is Stripes Nails. I had to make sure that it’s different from the rainbow nails, so this I painted a base colour and paced the stripes a little distance from each other.
The base colour I use today is ‘Play The Peonies’ from the Nice Stems collection. This is a slightly pinkish pearl colour which I really like a lot., very feminine & sweet colour. The application is almost flawless and fully opaque in 2 coats!
As for the stripes, I purposely used some bubble gummy & cute colours for a cheerful manicure! Hope you guys will like this!

OPI Play The Peonies

Black & White Nails (Day 7)
What would be a better representative of black & white nails than cows? I have initially wanted to save this design for the animal print challenge but I really can’t think of a better black & white design so I’ll just have to use it 1st. I already have another animal print design in mind even though it’s not really ‘animal’. =P
This design is actually surprisingly easy to do. I followed this YouTube video, so I shall not go into details how I did it. Overall, I managed to finish it in a relatively short time and I’m quite pleased with it!
