Singapore National Day 2012
It’s Singapore’s 47th National Day on 9th August so as tradition, I’m doing national day nails today!
I did 2 last year which in my opinion was not that good, but managed to get many likes for it, so I’m hoping that this year’s would be better.
Red & White are Singapore’s colours so I painted my nails with my favourite Red polish - OPI Red My Fortune Cookie and stamped the design from Bundle monster plate BM-301 with Konad special white polish.
I also dug out the stars from Kleancolor Blind Date and dotted them onto my nails as I already had a few layers of topcoat in between each coats and I didnt want my manicure to become too thick.
I think my national day nails this year is pretty cute, hopefully it’s much better than last year’s.. haha.. Happy National Day Singapore!

Monochrome Monday!
Yay! I am super hardworking this week! 2 posts in a row! Today we have another group challenge and it’s Monochrome Monday!
For today’s post, I did black and white nautical nails using OPI Alpine Snow as base, and added black strips using stripping tapes and Wet n Wild Black Creme. This is my first time using Wet n Wild’s Black and it’s great! It’s even thick enough to stamp, although the stamped image is as opaque as Konad’s special Black polish.
For my accent nail, I stamped the anchor image from Bundle monster plate BM-08 using Konad special Black polish.
It took a lot of time and patience for me to complete this set of manicure but I’m really pleased with the results! I think I’m getting the hang of tape mani already! Slow and steady is the key~~ :)

Happy Monday to you!

'Minnie' Nails
Don’t my nails today look very Minnie Mouse inspired? I didnt actually had Minnie in mind when I picked out the colours but this whole mani really just screams ‘Minnie’ - especially with the white acrylic ribbon!
The red polish used in this mani is ‘Red Lights Ahead.. Where?’ from OPI’s new Holland Collection. I didn’t think I would love this colour, but I do! ‘Red Lights Ahead.. Where?’ is a slightly coral red with a fantastic formula and coverage. I only used one coat for this polish and it’s just so opaque! It applies really smooth like butter as well! Love it!
Was really busy making nail polish jewelries this week so there wasn’t any new posts.. But I already have quite a few nail polish combinations and comparisons on my to do list. Hopefully I’ll be able to find the time to do & publish them soon! :)

Inspired By The Supernatural (Day 29)
Today for my nails inspired by the supernatural, I have decided to do UFO nails!
For the base, I used OPI DS Mystery, which is also the same polish which I had used for my Galaxy nails. This is a dark purplish polish packed with gold micro shimmers which really looks like the galaxy sky!
As for the UFOs, I used OPI Alpine snow to draw a little oval for the UFO glass thingy and used silver, blue and coral polishes to draw out the body of the UFOs.
Do you like my UFO nails? Let me know what you think!

Inspired By Artwork (Day 27)
Woohoo! I’m at day 27 already! This is almost done!
My mani today for day 27 is nails inspired by Piet Mondrain’s artwork! If you don’t know who Piet Mondrain is, do a quick Google like I did, cos I didnt know as well until Susan told me. LOL..
Anyway I’m glad she told me about him because I have very little knowledge in the arts and would probably kill myself thinking of an artwork for this challenge!
This mani is really simple to do, it is inspired by Piet Mondrain’s signature artworks (I guess, from all the Google images that came up). All I did was to paint lines using a black stripper, and fill in some of the squares with acrylic paint. Simple yet pretty!
